Product storage stability | When stored for 12 months at 25°C, there was a 4-12% activity loss. If the product was stored at 40°C for three months, 79% of the initial xylanase activity and 91 % of the initial beta-glucanase activity were recovered. |
Storage stability in feed | The Axtra product was added to a premixture containing trace elements and stored for six months at either 25°C or 40°C. There was no reduction in the initial xylanase activity when stored at 25°C, whereas beta-glucanase activity was reduced by 9 %. Xylanase and beta-glucanase activity were reduced by 11 and 29 %, respectively, when stored at 40°C. The stability of Axtra, when added to mash feed, has also been investigated. After three months of storage at 25°C the recovered xylanase and beta-glucanase activity were 87 % and 92 %, respectively. If the feed was stored at 40°C, the xylanase and beta-glucanase activity were reduced to 34 and 42 % of the initial activity, respectively. When added to pelleted feed, more than 85% of the initial activity of xylanase and beta-glucanase could be recovered after three months of storage at 25°C. |
