Широкодиапазонный ручной радиоприемник Icom IC-R6 производился с 2010 года. Версии для разных стран несколько отличаются диапазонами.

Это гетеродин с тройным преобразованием и PLL синтезатором частоты. Есть двойной приемник (VFO), АПЧ, декодер CTCSS и DTCS, ограничитель шума, аттенюатор, встроенная ферритовая антенна. В ячейку памяти, кроме частоты, можно записать шестизначный буквенный идентификатор станции.

Для программирования и клонирования настроек приемника на компьютере используется программа CS-R5 и кабель OPC-478.

Для преобразования звуковых файлов магнитофона .icw используется конвертер Icw2Wav.
