В официальном приложении «Инструкции по сборке LEGO®» (доступном в Google Play и App Store, оно же LEGO® Building Instructions) специально для наборов новой подсерии LEGO City Missions (посмотреть на которую можно в этой теме) появится принципиально новый интерактивный функционал, позволяющий детям проходить заданные сюжетом миссии, выполняя челленджи по сборке БЕЗ инструкций (да-да, в приложении под названием Инструкции, всё правильно!) и взаимодействуя с персонажами на экране. Изображения взяты из пресс-релиза на Brickset.
Наборов LEGO City Missions будет три — 60353 про спасение животных, 60354 про исследование космоса и 60355 про детективное расследование. К каждому из наборов в приложении будет доступна интерактивная история, содержащая восемь отдельных миссий. В начале истории детям будет дано вдохновение для сборки основных моделей, которые затем нужно будет постоянно перестраивать и адаптировать по ходу истории, следуя различным сценариям, подсказкам и миссиям. Всё это направлено на поощрение воображения и креативности.
Доступ к историям можно будет получить, используя QR-код, находящийся внутри коробки с набором (т.е. по идее без набора через само приложение этот функционал доступен не будет). В историях встретятся такие персонажи, как Уэстбрук, Джессика Шарп и Фейндрих (The LEGO City Wild Animal Rescue Missions), астронавт лейтенант Ривьера и доктор Векслер (LEGO CITY Mars Spacecraft Exploration Missions) и шеф Уиллер и Грейси Гудхарт (LEGO City Water Police Detective Missions).
Для игры в LEGO City Missions понадобится смартфон или планшет с установленным приложением «Инструкции по сборке LEGO®» и сам набор подсерии.
А вот с доступностью наборов интересная ситуация. В пресс-релизе сказано, что они появятся только в некоторых розничных магазинах с 1 июня по всему миру, за исключением Китая.
То есть очевидно, что в России выход этих наборов тоже планировался (возможно, как эксклюзива МК или снова как эксклюзива Пятёрочки), но, поскольку с начала марта поставки наборов прекращены, и в ближайшее время вряд ли что-то поменяется, то очевидно, что в июне они точно не выйдут. Тем не менее, в явном виде исключён только Китай (скорее всего, потому что у них в принципе нет Google Play и App Store).

Достоинства
Есть редкие детали, в т.ч. и минифигурки: заяц и котёнок чёрной пантеры.
Недостатки
Совсем нет в комплектации никакой инструкции.
