3 1. The Introduction of WIDICast With WIDICast, you can easily enjoy your favorite local and online movies, TV shows, photos, websites, Office software and more from Netflix, YouTube on your TV in HD. WIDICast automatically updates to work with a growing number of supported apps and provide you with the latest version of the WIDICast software. WIDICast support Wi‐Fi EZCast, DLNA, EZMirror(Miracast), EZAir(Airplay), works with devices for Android smartphones and tablets, iPhones & iPads, Windows and Mac laptops. Browse for what to watch, meeting presentation while using the smart phone, tablet, or laptop you already know and love. 2. The Connection of WIDICast Get started in a few easy steps: Plug in: Plug WidiCast into your TV(or use the HDMI extender to connect to TV, it may be used to improve your Wi‐Fi reception), connect the USB power cable to your WIDICast, and plug the other end into a power outlet using the USB port on your TV, or using the power adapter(5V/0.5A). Connect: Double check that your WidiCast and the smart phone, tablet or laptop you are using to set up WidiCast with are both on the same Wi‐Fi network. Set up: Download the EZCast app on your smart phone, tablet or laptop to set up your WidiCast. Watch: Cast videos, movies, TV shows and more from your smart phone, tablet or laptop to your TV. Presentations: Cast the Office(Word, Excel, Powerpoint),PDF, keynote, pages and number file on TV/Projector Screen in the meeting. 3. Set up WIDICast The WIDICast boot‐up logo will be appeared and flashed on TV Screen once you power on the device. Then the device will enter into the Main Menu in the below, you can download and install the application from Website, App Store and Google Play or the website from local reseller on your Smart Phone, Tablet PC and Laptop. 4 3.1 Set up WIDICast using Android Phone or Tablet 3.1.1 Search and Install the EZCast App by Google Play on your Android device, available for Android devices running Android Icecream 4.0 and higher. 3.1.2 Launch the EZCast App for Android, the TV Screen will show in the below with SSID Number(EZCast Wi‐Fi Network account) and Password. Then go to Wi‐Fi Setting, found the Wi‐Fi Account match with SSID Number, and input the password for it. After the connection is successful, you can use Wi‐Fi EZCast/DLNA/EZMirror to cast videos, movies, TV shows, present the Office(Word, Excel, Powerpoint),PDF, keynote, pages and number file on TV/Projector Screen in the meeting. 3.2 Set up EZCast using iPhone or iPad 3.2.1 Install the EZCast App by App Store on your iPhone or iPad device, the EZCast App available for IOS 6.0 and higher. 3.3.2 Launch the EZCast App for iPhone or iPad, the TV Screen will show in the below 5 with SSID Number(EZCast Wi‐Fi Network account) and Password. Then go to Wi‐Fi Setting, found the Wi‐Fi Account match with SSID Number, and input the password for it. After the connection is successful, you can use Wi‐Fi EZCast/DLNA/EZAir to cast videos, movies, TV shows, present the Office(Word,Excel,Powerpoint),PDF, keynote, pages and number file on TV/Projector Screen in the meeting. 3.3 Set up EZCast using Windows Laptop 3.2.1 Download and Install the EZCast App on your Windows, the EZCast App available for Windows XP SP3 and higher. 3.3.2 Launch the EZCast App on your Laptop desktop, the TV/Projector Screen will show in the below with SSID Number(EZCast Wi‐Fi Network account) and Password. Then go to Wi‐Fi Setting, found the Wi‐Fi Account match with SSID Number, and use your Android Phone/Tablet, iPhone, iPad to input the password for it. 6 After the connection is successful, press ON button for Wi‐Fi EZCast/DLNA/EZMirror you can cast videos, movies, TV shows, present the Office(Word,Excel,Powerpoint),PDF, keynote, pages and number file on TV/Projector Screen in the meeting. Please note: EZMirror function for Windows Laptop is supported by Windows 8 3.4 Set up EZCast using Mac Laptop 3.4.1 Download and Install the EZCast App on your Mac Laptop, the EZCast App available for Mac OS 10.7 and higher. 3.4.2 Launch the EZCast App on your laptop desktop, the TV/Projector Screen will show in the below with SSID Number(EZCast Wi‐Fi Network account) and Password. Then go to Wi‐Fi Setting, found the Wi‐Fi Account match with SSID Number, and use your Android Phone/Tablet, iPhone, iPad to input the password for it. After the connection is successful, press ON button for Wi‐Fi EZCast/DLNA/EZAir you can cast videos, movies, TV shows, present the Office(Word, Excel, Powerpoint),PDF, keynote, pages and number file on TV/Projector Screen in the meeting. 4. Wi‐Fi EZCast 7 While you press EZCast on your Android smart phones and tablets, iPhones & iPads, Windows and Mac laptops, you will see the picture in the below, then you can cast photos, office file, website, camera, music, video to TV/Projector screen. Android device Iphone/Ipad Windows laptop Mac laptop 4.1 Cast photo 4.1.1 Press Photo Icon on Android smart phones and tablets, it will go into your picture file, select the photo you need to cast, then you will see the photo on TV/Projector Screen. If Click the Pencil Icon, you can make the notes on the picture and save it. 4.1.2 Press Photo Icon on iPhone and iPad, select the Camera Icon to view the picture file, click the photo you need to cast, then you will see the photo on TV/Projector Screen. If Click the Pencil Icon, you can make the notes on the picture, press back button, you save it. If you did not want to save the picture, press Done button. 4.2 Office file Presentations 4.2.1 Press Office Icon on Android smart phones and tablets, it will enter into your 8 office file, select the file you need to cast, then you will see the file on TV/Projector Screen. If Click the Pencil Icon, you can make the notes on the picture and save it. 4.2.2 Press Office Icon on iPhone and iPad, you can view the office file, click the file you need to cast, then you will see the file on TV/Projector Screen. If Click the Pencil Icon, you can make the notes on the file, press back button, you save it. If you did not want to save the picture, press Done button. 4.3 Cast Website Press Web Icon, then it will enter into websites. Note: Please make sure you already connect the your Wi‐Fi network before you use Web function. 4.4 Camera Press Camera Icon, it will open the camera on your Android smart phones and tablet, iPhone and iPad, then it will mirror the viewfinder picture on TV/Projector screen, then you can adjust the view and take the picture, of course, you can make the notes on the it. 4.5 Cast music 4.5.1 Press Music Icon on Android smart phones and tablets, it will enter into your music file, select the file you need to cast, then you will listen to the music on TV. 4.5.2 Press Music Icon on iPhone and iPad, then press camera icon, it will enter into your music file, select the file you need to cast, then you can enjoy the movie on TV Screen. Please note: Most of the popular audio format are supported, please check the supported audio format on Specification. 4.6 Cast video 9 4.6.1 Press Video Icon on Android smart phones and tablets, it will enter into your video file, select the file you need to cast, then you will listen to the music on TV. 4.6.2 Press Video icon on iPhone and iPad, then press camera icon, it will enter into your video file, select the file you need to cast, then you can enjoy the movie on TV Screen. Please note: Most of the popular video format are supported, please check the supported video format on Specification. 4.7 Cast on Windows and Mac laptops Press EZCast button on Laptop, it will mirror the desktop screen on TV/Projector Screen 4.7.1 Mirror Function, press Mirror function, it will mirror the whole desktop screen. 4.7.2 Extension Function, press Extension function, it will show the wallpaper on TV/Projector screen or part of the file on TV/Projector Screen. If you need to show part of the file, you can move the file to cast on the TV/Projector screen. 4.7.3 Mode. It will show two options for Graphic and video. If you would like to cast the office file, photo, website, you can select Graphic option. If you would like to cast the video or audio file, you can select Video option 4.7.4 Audio Streaming. It shows two options for On and Off. If you press on, then it will cast the audio volume on TV/Projector Screen, if you press off, then it only broadcast the audio volume on Laptop. 5. DLNA Press DLNA icon, and click ON button,it will show the online video player that support DLNA function. You can open the video player to watch the online movies and click DLNA icon on video player to cast on TV Screen. Please note: if you smart phones and tablet did not have DLNA function, please install the DLNA application from Google play or App Store. 6. EZMirror(Miracast) Press EZMirror icon, and click ON button,it will guide you to go to Wi‐Fi setting again, and required to connect to Wi‐Fi display or Wi‐Fi Direct on your Android smart phones and tablet in 60 seconds. After the connection is successful, it will mirror the screen of Android smart phones and tablet on TV Screen. If you can not connect to EZMirror in 60 seconds, it will re‐connect to EZCast Wi‐Fi Network. Please note: Only Android device can support Miracast function, and Android 4.2 OS 10 support Miracast function, currently some Android 4.0/4.1 OS can support Miracast. 7. EZAir(Airplay) Press EZAir icon, and click ON button, it will show the list of apps that support Airplay function, you can open the video player to watch the online movies and click Airplay icon on video player to cast on TV Screen. If you would like cast the local file manager, then you can use Airplay function to cast photo, audio and video files. 8. Setting Press Setting button on your Android smart phones and tablets, iPhone and iPad, then it will show the setting menu on TV Screen, you can control the left/right/up/down Navigation on your Android smart phones and tablets, iPhone and iPad. 8.1 Resolution Use left/right/up/down Navigation button to select Resolution, then you can set the output display. 8.2 Password Use left/right/up/down Navigation button to select Password, use the keyboard on your Android smart phones and tablets or iPhone and iPad to input the new password, then you can set the new password. 8.3 Internet Use left/right/up/down Navigation button to select Internet, it will show a list of Wi‐Fi account, select your Wi‐Fi account, then use the keyboard on your Android smart phones and tablets or iPhone and iPad to input the password, it will show Tick Icon, and you can go to websites. 8.4 Language Use left/right/up/down Navigation button to select Language, it will show a list of 11 Languages, select the language you need. 8.5 Upgrade Use left/right/up/down Navigation button to select Upgrade, if there is new firmware released, it can be upgraded online. Please make sure do not power off the device while the online upgrade. 9. Support When using this Wireless Display Receiver, please do not let it come into contact with water or other liquid, if water is accidentally spilled on the player, please use a dry cloth to absorb the spillage. Electronic products are vulnerable, when using please avoid shaking or hitting the player, and do not press the buttons too hard. — Do not let the player come into contact with water or other liquid. — Do not disassemble the player as there is a risk of electric shock and it’s not available in the warranty, repair the player or change the design of the player, any damage done will not be included in the repair and warranty policy. — Do not press the buttons of the player too hard. — Avoid hitting the player with hard object, avoid shaking the player, and stay away from magnetic fields. — During electrostatic discharge and the strong electromagnetic field, the product will malfunction, then unplug the power cable and the product will return to normal performance next time it is powered on.
